Yesterday Michelle and I were flying the Umami flag at Bristol’s Arnolfini bright and early for a day socialisi- I mean, hem, networking at Women Outside the Box Festival.
The day was a celebration of female entrepreneurship, and there was plenty to celebrate! Crammed full of lovely stalls of all kinds, from foodies to corporate B2Bs (personally we were surrounded by cake – the torture!) there was plenty to see and do, and lots of great people to talk to! We made connections with plenty of great businesses, including our perfect partner Relish, specialists in bringing your food and drink products to mass market (once we’ve designed your branding and packaging, of course ), to Michelle Ward at UDL, a trademarking genius (perfect next port-of-call for anyone who came to see our own Michelle’s talk and needs to protect their shiny new brand!).
Speaking of Michelle’s talk, it went very well! Unfortunately I didn’t get to see it as I had to hold down the fort upstairs, but we had plenty of great feedback from very inspired audience members (not going to name any names, but you know who you are and good luck with the new venture!).
For anyone who came to visit us and doesn’t run a food or drink business, we can still help! Just check out our sister brand Creating Media – the same great design service, without the foodie slant.
It was great to meet you all, and sorry if we didn’t have chance to talk yesterday, but please do drop a message if you wanted to be LinkedIn or Twitter connections – it was fantastic to meet so many fantastic businesspeople yesterday, but we didn’t manage to get contact details for all of you!
