In the first of our case studies of recent work we’ve carried out, we’re showcasing a recent website design we created for an exciting client – Tate & Lyle Sugars, part of the ASR group.
We were commissioned by their PR agency, Cirkle, to create a cutting-edge responsive website to react to the growing trend of sales staff using iPads and other tablets. We were so thrilled to be working with such an established, international household name in the food industry – what a great way to kick off the Umami brand! The website was primarily to demonstrate the range of sugars and syrups ASR produce for use in professional kitchens and wholesale retail clients.
We used our extensive food industry experience to ensure the site spoke to caterers, buyers and other foodservice professionals, and our design know-how was applied in creating an original site within the strict ASR Group brand guidelines.
Highlighting the commitment to Fairtrade and great products was also important to Tate & Lyle, another factor which had to be met during the design process.
Some of the design work we did included specially commissioned photographs, cutting-edge image manipulation, innovative jquery image sliders and of curse the responsive website design
Responsive websites automatically adjust to the window size the user is viewing on, from large hi-res screens, reduced window width and smaller notepads and tablets. This is still quite a new technology, and very much on the rise as tablets become more widespread.
We have been delighted to work with such an established client, and feedback from them has been fantastic. We look forward to any future work that grows out of our new relationship.
